Merry Xmas: Major Updates

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I'm sure you're wondering where the heck I've been for the past few weeks.
Due to some life changes, I have moved house and it took weeks to do so.
After waiting for my new place to be ready and finally moving in; the internet
service provider I changed to took 2 1/2 weeks to connect my service. That
didn't stop me from filming updates/reviews, which I will upload today on
My Youtube Channel.

Bad news is my laptop crashed a week ago, and I lost all my files.
Yes, everything. So now I am slowly building up all my files, and
programs. I will resume blogging and vlogging from this day forward.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas :)

Announcement: Giveaway Winner Picked

I should be really happy to do this announcement, but I am not.The reason
being, every single person who entered had a reason
for me to disqualify
them from this giveaway. It was frustrating
for me to find this out as I'm
picking winner after winner who
doesn't fit the three basic requirements
set up by Rafflecopter.
I couldn't have made it easier, and put so much
effort into
doing this giveaway in the fairest way I could. Please watch,
to find out who has won and why there were issues with the
process.

My Halloween Haunted House Adventure

Yes, you have read correctly. There was a decent Haunted House Event in Melbourne this year! When I first heard about this a couple months ago I didn't think it would be so huge. If you read my blog you'll also know how unprepared I was in the upcoming weeks before Halloween. I had just relegated myself to wearing some cheap kitty mask and doing my hair maybe in two buns (for ears), but my S.O. offered to pick up a costume for me next to his work.

Here are a few pics throughout the night.

Everything I used on my face/body for tonight's look

If you are interested in the specific items I used please ask in the comments section.

My makeup before I ruin it

My S.O. before he goes into the Haunted House to scare people (Leatherface)

End of the night, blood on my arms, back and hair. Tipsy and exhausted.
If you buy this costume, make sure you have a lighter coloured dress or slip
go underneath. It is VERY sheer, and in this case I just happened to have
an old creme coloured forever new 40's Sweet Heart Dress.

Moving on, the evening came. It was hot, dry, and windy. My hair fell flat, so I gave up after the second attempt to keep reapplying curls. After that, I started vlogging. Here is the result....

Note: May need to turn your volume down for this :)

REVIEW: L'Oréal Glam Lights #3 Light Brown to Dark Blonde w/ B&A

This was actually pretty exciting for me to try out. Going 'Bronde'
has become a trend in late 2015, and the ad campaigns are quite
charming.

My colour had been looking quite flat lately, and my roots obviously grown out. I wasn't sure which direction to go with my hair until I saw this trend, which doesn't aim to be perfect. I picked the Light Brown to Dark Blonde which was still a bit light compared to my natural colour.

So application can take Forever
I highly recommend you don't leave globs of this creme in, yet don't rub a huge amount of it in one spot either. Take your index finger and thumb; pinch a good amount between your fingers. Spread your hair out and comb lightly down from root to tip 1-2 times with the brush provided. I did this a bit too slowly throughout the layers of my hair and did not clip it up so the dye would not clump leaving a big bleach spot.

I put a bit too much on the hair framing my face first, which is not a good
idea unless you want it to be brighter then the rest of your hair! This
developer formula is quite strong, so keep a close eye on the time.

Even for thick hair like mine, I usually
double the time but this was
developed a bit more than I would have liked. After rinsing my hair
I used a generic blonde toner to get the copper colour out of my hair.
I had to reapply it after, because it didn't develop enough the first time
(cheap). So after washing, toning, conditioning my hair 2 times. I used
my Babyliss ionic blow dryer to dry my hair enough to see the results.

There were a few spots where it developed faster than others, and
I actually
don't mind them. My hubby loves my hair, and I am enjoying the change. It took me probably 1 1/2 hours to do this. I have really thick hair and there was more than enough to blend through my hair (maybe a bit too much!).

Planning Trip/Victoria's Secret Comparison

I am so into spring, but am sadly in need to update my wardrobe
with some more colour. Before the little road trip on Thursday
I need to pick up a few things from my local plaza :) I plan on
grabbing a new swimsuit, thongs, and some really cute sunny's.
The issue I had last time was my old swimsuits had some malfunctions
like the 'boobs-keep-popping-out-when-the-waves-come' syndrome.
That makes it super hard to not be self conscious while swimming,
and riding the waves. Honestly, I am so excited to head back to
this location, that is near and dear to my heart.

Also, I want to grab a good moisturizer that has a decent amount of

sunblock in it. It would be nice to find one that does cake on when
it isn't spread properly leaving noticeable chunks or caked areas.
I have been working on some casual-light makeup looks for sports
activities (such as hiking, climbing, ect.). For this I will be
cutting out foundation, because I would sweat it off and it will
clog my pores. I will be keeping eye liner, tinted lip gloss,
(most likely) tinted/sunblock moisturizer, and some medium bronzer.

Next, yesterday I received my package from America finally.

I was expecting it last Thursday/Friday, but its quite
difficult to track a package internationally. Once a package
enters Australia the information is transferred to Auspost or
a selected Courier, and I will say that the information was
slow to transfer. I bought all new Victoria's Secret panties,
and took advantage of their Aus shipping discount which I will
link the code and site below. Usually shipping is extremely
expensive 30-40 depending on how much you order after that.
It deters you from wanting to buy one or two items, shipping
will cost almost as much as a regular item. So I can see the draw
of using eBay for finding VS products, but they are heavily
marked up! I will be ordering a bulk order of bra's soon, and
because I've owned these styles in the past I trust their fit.

If you haven't been the the Victoria's Secret in the Emporium

in Melbourne CBD, I would say to think twice. Why? Their prices
are completely inflated. I paid $33 for a 200ml lotion! and $35
for a body spray! In the US they are $12-$15 each. However, they
have the most amazing sunny's at $100 each (wow). Check out the
code and link below if you want discounted shipping too.

BellaBox Review September 2015 & Special Announcement

This review will be a bit different, tell me what you think :) There will
also be a special announcement tomorrow
. I will post it on my YouTube
channel, Twitter, and this blog. Thanks for your support!

My BellaBox arrived this past Monday, and due to the extreme heat and
being sick I was not able to put out a vlog at my normal speed. This month
it was rather slow to come in the mail. The titles of my blog and vlog might
seem confusing saying 'September' when this post and mail come in October,
but that is just how this system seems to work with the beauty boxes like
BellaBox and Lust Have It.

Flat Iron/Straightener: How To Flat Iron Your Hair

This is a straight forward tutorial for those of you who want to learn how to use
flat iron. The techniques used here can be used with other brand straightening irons, not just GHD. I have used many brands and this has been my most reliable

and durable hair straightener.

I am not sponsored by GHD. I have tried many brands, this flat iron
works quickly and I have never had an issue while using it. I will show
you in this tutorial how to prep your hair before-hand, and how to get
amazingly smooth straight hair.

Beauty Hacks I Found Out About Recently

1. Bat Wing Eye-Liner Using A Spoon

lifebuzz-e5bfa70ec24778a125c00665b589a95d-thumb_400

This is a interesting way to put on your eyeliner, and still one I don't do normally. It's nice to know, for when I will do this type of look.

2. Deoderant Doubles as Bug Bite Remedy
Dove-Original-Anti-Perspirant-Deodorant-Roll-On-50ml-6568

Since I've moved to Australia, I haven't been able
to find a decent brand of cream to treat these mosquito
bites. I've read and seen in multiple Blogs & Vlogs, that
this is an easy remedy to itchy bug bites.

3. Dry Shampoo
41cMLbFy5mL._SY300_

My most recent Bellabox came with a travel size Bastiste Dry Shampoo.  I didn't expect to have to use this, but after running around all day I found my hair feeling a bit gross so before having to run out again I grabbed this and sprayed the hell out of my hair before tousling with my fingers to work the spray in. My hair and scalp felt and more importantly *looked* better. The smell isn't the best, but its a product I feel does a good job.

4. Eyeshadow/Liner Tape Trick

10362151_1433369806923738_1586746651_n

When I got my first Urban Decay palette I tried this out for my eye shadow, and it made clean up a breeze. Make sure you have both put on evenly, or the tape lines will be very crocked.

Matte Lipgloss Swatches

I've been going through different beauty bloggers latest hauls to see what
I should avoid/pick in my next trip when I heard about Savvy. They are a

drugstore brand makeup, that I had not heard of or tried before. I bought
them based on a popular Youtuber's Blog that I adore.

So I decided to combine this with the Matte lip trends going on, and
picked my favorite colours. The choices were limited, given that they
have recently discontinued selling them, and only stores have a limited
supply left in stock. I found they are quite difficult to find online.

Since I have heaps of bright red lip gloss already curtousy of LHI beauty box
I didn't believe it would be a good idea to get the colour 'Miss Monroe',
so I settled on the following....

I was slightly disappointed by how haggard it made the inside of my lips look.

Removal shreds your lips, so I recommend before applying you remove any dry
skin from your lips with a warm wash cloth to prevent this HIGHLY pigmented
colour from sticking to any surface giving you a chunky or 'furry' like appearance.

I was pleased at the suggestion the company makes about using two or more colour'
s to create a whole new colour, so I tried this. Mixing the two colour's together started out looking like a huge mess but came to a cute hot pink colour. Based on using this so far I'm still more of a fan of glossy lipglosses :)

Skin Problems

*sigh* I've been having a bit of acne lately, and I haven't grown up dealing with breakouts or difficult pimples that are hard to hide. This is difficult to admit and share with readers, and has hindered me wanting to a fresh video. This week I planned on doing filming my daily make up routine. Unfortunately, this will be on hold until my skin clears up a bit more.

Now, I'm not sure if all the product testing has contributed to my skin breaking out, but I have recently tried Essenzza Fuss Free Natural Facial Treatment Mask - Exfoliate & Cleanse. When I reviewed the Bellabox it came in I wrote how my skin felt and changed (not for the better).

Latest Beauty Haul

I have seriously felt so spoiled by my partner. He got me the two main items I
am going over with you in this post (Case & UD Palette). This week has flown by, and I have a few vlogs in the works for next week. So you can check them out at my YouTube channel when it is updated!

So, I have finally decided on a make-up organizer that is big enough to hold all of my make up that had originally been split up in around 5 places. This will make getting ready easier, and it also has a two separate locks on each latch. Great for anyone who has roommates that like to 'borrow' your stuff, or just great for when you're traveling and don't want your case to open accidentally. So far I have not had any issues with the case.

I am really excited about anything Urban Decay and have been for over 6 years. They have to be my favourite brand when it comes to eye-shadows. Their pigmented colours are long-lasting and unique. I started collecting their 'token' sized eye shadows, and went to the larger compact (w/ mirror) eye shadows. The palettes are always something I've aspired to get but talked myself out of many times over because of the price and replicas floating around Aus. My partner saw this and snagged one off of ebay for me, and it is the one I have wanted for so long! The Naked 2 Palette!!! Which is the highest rated of all the naked palettes. It came yesterday, and I've been so excited about using it. BUT I haven't. I may do a vlog about it with different swatches...but that will be decided later.

And lastly, I also received a generous 14-day(14 packets) sample supply of Revitalift by Loreal Paris. You can get this offer by just going HERE and filling out the form. It only took me around 2 weeks to get in the post.

Ut-oh: Lucas' Papaw Ointment

Lucas' Papaw Ointment is not Lip Balm!

Now, lets get something straight. I didn't grow up here in good old Aus, you can usually tell by my accent in my vids. So for years I didn't know which ointment to use to replace neosporin (US) for cuts, scrapes and burns. A few months ago when I had a cut I used this and it seemed to help my lip from getting dry and cracked on the very edge where this cut was. I NEVER used it as a lip balm, and its pretty obvious from reading the packaging. It consists of 96% petroleum gel and 4% papaw; meaning its basically all petroleum gel. Some make up artists and enthusiasts claim that petroleum gel is bad for your lips. I will continue to use it
as per the direction and stick to my normal tinted chap stick.
